What you get
One record per active certificate: full_name, license_number (the FAA unique id), credential (Pilot - Private / Commercial / Airline Transport / Student, Flight Instructor, Remote Pilot, Mechanic, Ground Instructor, Dispatcher, Repairman, Control Tower Operator), ratings and type_ratings arrays, city / state / zip_code / country, medical_class with medical issue and expiration dates, and expiration_date (MM/DD/YYYY) for flight-instructor certificates. FAA's raw type and level codes always ride along.
The FAA publishes only active certificates and only for airmen who did not opt out of address release, so every record is status: active with status_basis saying exactly that. Codes the FAA layout does not define are delivered as "FAA certificate type X" rather than guessed.
